How WAYS Materials handles your name, your phone number, your address, and everything else you give us when you order material.
Last updated October 5, 2026
Who we are
WAYS Materials sells and delivers sand, dirt, gravel, limestone and related material by the truckload. This policy covers this website and the orders you place through it or over the phone with us.
Phone: 1-855-GOT-WAYS
Email: support@ways.us
What we collect
Almost all of it is what you type into an order. Specifically:
- Your contact details. Name, mobile phone number, email address.
- Where the load goes. The delivery address, whether it's a home, a job site or a business, and anything you tell the driver about gates, slopes or where to dump.
- Your order. What you bought, how much, the delivery date, the price, and whether it's been paid.
- Payment records. The amount, the date, and the last four digits and card brand our payment processor sends back. We never see or store your full card number.
- How you used the site. Pages viewed, products looked at, and the delivery addresses typed into the pricing tool, including addresses outside our delivery area. That tells us where people want material we can't get to yet.
- Estimates and searches. When you check a price, we keep the delivery address you typed, the material and quantity you looked at, the price shown, and a random ID in your browser, even if you don't order. If you later give us your email or phone number, we may link those earlier searches to you so we can follow up on your estimate.
- Phone calls. When you call, we may note your phone number, delivery address and what we quoted so we can pick up where we left off. Calls may be recorded for service and training.
- Account details, if you make one. Your sign-in email, saved addresses, and your company name if you give us one.
We don't ask for your Social Security number, your date of birth, or anything about your health, and we have no reason to.
What we do with it
- Price your load for your address and get it delivered to the right spot.
- Take payment and send you a receipt or an invoice.
- Text or email you about your order. See the text message section below.
- Answer you when you call, and pull up your history so you don't have to repeat it.
- Keep the books, pay sales tax, and settle disputes about what was delivered.
- Figure out where to add trucks, products and delivery area next.
How we use it. To price and deliver your order, follow up on estimates you asked for, improve our service and coverage, and, if you are a customer or opted in, email you offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and we honor it. We never sell your information. We don't send marketing texts without your explicit opt-in.
Sand'n Soil customers. WAYS Materials holds Sand'n Soil's past order history and customer contact details. We use them to keep your order history and to serve you when you order or call us, and, as with any customer, we may email you news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time from any of our emails. We send marketing texts only to people who opt in.
We do not sell your personal information. We don't rent it, and we don't trade it.
Text messages
This section covers the text messages we send about your order. It's the part most people come here for, so it's the most specific part of this page.
How you opt in. Two ways, and no others. You agree to the wording below when you place an order, or you tell one of our people yes while they have you on the phone, after they read you that same wording. Either way we record when you agreed, what you were shown, and which of the two it was. We do not add your number to texting because you called us, emailed us, or bought from us before.
The wording you agree to. This is what we ask, word for word, and we do not use different wording anywhere else: "WAYS Materials can text you about this order: when it's scheduled, a heads up when the truck is on the way, and a payment link if you need one. No marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop the texts, HELP for help."
What we send. Messages about an order you placed: when it's scheduled, a heads up when the truck is on the way, a payment link if you need one, and an estimate you asked us for. Nothing else. We don't send promotions, sales, or newsletters by text.
How often. Message frequency varies. It depends on how many orders you place and what happens with them.
Cost. Msg & data rates may apply. That's between you and your mobile carrier; we don't charge you for texts.
Stopping them. Reply STOP to any message and the texts stop. Reply HELP and you'll get our phone number back. You can also just call us and ask, and we'll take you off. Stopping the texts does not cancel your order and does not stop your email receipts.
Mobile opt-in data is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. In plain words: your phone number and the fact that you agreed to be texted stay with us. The only outside company that handles them is the messaging provider that actually delivers the message to your phone, and they're only allowed to use them to deliver it.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We email you about your order whether or not you take our texts: order confirmations, receipts, invoices and delivery updates. Those are part of the order, not marketing.
If you sign up for our list, that's separate, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Unsubscribing from the list never stops your order emails.
Who else touches your information
We use outside companies to run parts of the business. They only get what they need to do their job, and none of them are allowed to use your information for their own marketing.
- Stripe processes card payments. You enter your card on Stripe's own secure page, not ours.
- Twilio delivers our text messages and connects some of our phone calls.
- Resend delivers our email.
- Google supplies the address lookup on our forms and the traffic measurement for this site.
- Supabase hosts our database and the software behind the site.
- Our drivers and delivery partners get the name, phone number, delivery address and site notes for the load they're hauling. That's how it gets to you.
We also hand over information when the law requires it, or when we need it to collect on an unpaid invoice or defend a claim.
How long we keep it
Order and delivery records stay on file for as long as we need them for accounting, sales tax, and questions about a load we delivered. That's years, not months, and it's how we can look up what you bought last season without asking you.
Consent records for texting are kept for as long as you're opted in and afterward, because the record of you opting out is the proof we honored it.
How long. Searches that never became an estimate or an order are made anonymous after 12 months.
Your choices
- Ask us what we have on you, and we'll send you a copy.
- Ask us to correct something that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete what we're not required to keep. Paid order records we have to keep for tax and accounting, and we'll tell you which ones those are.
- Reply STOP to end the texts, or use the unsubscribe link to leave the email list.
Your choices. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop being contacted: support@ways.us.
Email or call us using the details at the top of this page. A person handles it, so give us a couple of business days.
Keeping it safe
Traffic to this site is encrypted. Card details go straight to our payment processor and never land on our servers. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to take your order or deliver it.
No system is perfect, and we won't pretend otherwise. If something happens that affects your information, we'll tell you.
Children
This is a materials supply site for property owners and contractors. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
When we change how any of this works, we update this page and change the date at the top. If the change affects how we text you, we'll ask for your okay again rather than assume the old one still covers it.
Questions
Call or email us with the details at the top of this page and ask for whoever handles privacy. Our Terms of Service cover how ordering and delivery work.
