Pea Gravel Delivery in Kenner, LA

Pea Gravel for Kenner projects

Much of Kenner lies at or below sea level, with the Mississippi River on its south edge and Lake Pontchartrain to the north, and the water has to be moved out by canals and pump stations. Pea Gravel drains well, and Kenner uses it for decorative groundcover in beds, patio and pathway surfacing, and dog run and pen surfacing. Kenner uses Pea Gravel for dry creek beds and drainage channels. Being round, Pea Gravel does not lock together, so it needs an edge to hold it in place. In Kenner the driver can dump Pea Gravel on a tarp you lay out, so spread the tarp where you want the pile and mention the tarp in the driver notes. Kenner's drainage page asks people to keep grass clippings, leaves and other debris out of the catch basins, so set the pile back from the street drain. Pick a spot the driver can reach from the street, and tell us about sprinkler lines or water pipes under the grass.

Pea Gravel in Kenner: what to know

Near the lake, in Woodlake or along Lake Trail, a bed of Pea Gravel keeps the ground by the house from turning to mud after a storm. Smooth stones of about three eighths of an inch drain fast and rake flat, so they suit a walk, a patio seat or a dog run, each held by an edge. A pile this size sheds loose stone onto the street, so edge it and keep it off the drain. Order River Sand to raise a low yard first, and Premium Garden Soil wherever grass or plants will grow.
